Biography

I was born in 1971, I graduated from Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 1993. I completed my dermatology residency in 1999. In 2003, I opened my own private practice in Ankara Gaziosmanpaşa Uğur Mumcu Street. In 2007, I resigned from my job at Ankara Numune Hospital Dermatology Department.

Since 1999, I started to be more interested in the fields of Aesthetic Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery, I received trainings in Turkey and abroad in order to increase my knowledge and experience.

In the field of hair diseases and hair transplantation, I worked on basic hair surgery training in Canada and America, and on sharing experience and advanced techniques in various clinics in Poland, Sweden and Spain, respectively.

I attended the trainings organized by Cutera Academy in 2005 New York and 2007 Barcelona on laser varicose veins and capillary treatment, laser spot treatment and laser non-surgical skin stretching. In 2009, I published an important scientific study titled “The treatment of different vascular lesions with Nd-Yag laser”, which can be considered the first in its field, and then the book I wrote on the same subject was published in America by Nova Publisher.

Since 2001, I have attended current international meetings and received trainings on Botox and filler applications and face shaping. I focused on injections with safe and natural results that integrate with the personalized face.
I have 1 book, 4 book chapters, 38 scientific articles and 22 scientific posters published nationally and internationally, and I took part as an educator, speaker and session chair in 78 national and international congresses.

In 2011, I received the American Board certificate in the field of hair surgery, and in 2015 I was accepted to the Fellow category in the USA. In both fields, I became the first doctor in our country to receive this title.

I received the title of Associate Professor in 2021.

I am married and have two children.

Achievements

• He is the first doctor in the USA who has been accepted to the Fellow category by fulfilling the necessary conditions in the field of hair surgery and has received the FISHRS title in our country.
• He became the first doctor in our country to receive the American Board diploma by passing the proficiency exam organized by ABHRS (American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery), one of the most prestigious diplomas in the field of hair surgery in the world.
• For the first time in the world, by comparing FUE and 3 different instruments in hair transplantation, he shed light on the limits of FUE with his study on detecting follicular unit damage and defined the appropriate candidate profile. The study was presented at the ESHRS (European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery) Madrid meeting and also published in the journal ISHRS (American Hair Surgery Association).
• The long-term follow-up of hair transplantation in alopecia areata was accepted as a scientific article and made a significant contribution to the surgical treatment of these patients.
•  A large case series study on hair transplantation techniques and case reports in scalp, beard, eyebrow and mustache scars caused by burn accident was accepted as a paper at the congress organized by ISHRS in Boston.
• He wrote the “Use of Nd-yag in Vascular Lesions” section of the book published by Nova Publisher in the USA on the use of Nd-Yag laser.
•  He was the editor of the special issue of “Hair Transplantation” published by Turkiye Klinikleri, one of the most respected scientific medical journals in our country, and the related publication is the first basic book on hair transplantation in Turkish.
•  At the XXI Lütfü Tat Congress, he served as the Session Chair-Moderator in the “Hair Transplant Course”, which was held for the first time in dermatology congresses.
